Should you be considering fishing Grand Traverse Bay for Lake & Brown Trout, I can highly recommend selecting "Showtime Charters" and her Captain, Cam Garst. The boat is First Class; Cam is too. And if there are fish to be found, he'll find them with his sophisticated gear and knowledge of West Bay. My partner and I limited on Lake Trout, with a bonus of Browines on our last trip.

I just got back from my vacation in Michigan and I had to write and let you know what a great time we had with Sam last Monday. He was great with my kids and we were able to catch a bunch of fish. It is not because of that success that I am writing this (obviously Sam does not have full control over the results). He was a joy to be around and I appreciated his patience with a bunch of inexperienced fishermen.

A huge THANKS to you and Sam,..........really.......for busting it hard for me and the folks, the one more pass, the fun, the professionalism, being the 'BEST' in the bay, for teaching me stuff, and of course - for being friends and cool guys. I really appreciate the effort you and Sam put forth and folks are always VERY impressed with you both and your boats and gear. Class act guys !!

Just a quick note to tell you how much we thoroughly enjoyed our day fishing with you and Sam last week. I was thrilled to bring in the King Salmon! And we both had so much fun fighting all those Lake Trout. It's funny how the early morning weather was storming so bad I thought we'd have to cancel, but it cleared and worked perfectly. Your boat is really nice and you and Sam are such a good team and worked fluidly together.

Thanks again for a fabulous time. It was one of the highlights of our vacation.

Hi Cam and Sam,

Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had fishing on August 13th. Our trip to Traverse City was one of the highlights for our exchange student Hanna. She is still talking about the big fish she caught. We have some great pictures for her to take back to Japan and share with her friends. All of the girls and Dan were excited to have the opportunity to fish in the bay and to eat our catch. It was delicious!

Today is a sad day as we say good-bye to our new daughter Hanna. She will be flying back to Japan tomorrow morning. International exchange was a dream for Hanna's family. There dream came true this summer. She has only wonderful memories to take home as she met so many kind and caring people in Michigan. Thank you for your help in making Hanna's dream of catching a fish come true.

Its been over 24 hours and we still haven't stopped talking about our fabulous day of fishing and the incredible catch we enjoyed yesterday. I've been on other charter boats, but never on one more comfortable and better prepared for a great day of fishing-or one with a more personable captain and mate.

Thanks again for your service, your hospitality, and your knowledge of the lake that brought us a record catch. If we could have keep all the fish we caught we would have doubled up on our limits.

We will definitely be looking forward to the second week of September, as you suggested.

I just felt compelled to drop you a note and let you know what a great time we had on the fishing trip with Captain Sam.

Our captain and Paul were just awesome and anyone who would sing Neil Diamond songs with us and join in on pirate imitations is cool with us! The fish were great, the boat ride was a ton of fun and we even enjoyed the soaking we got.

I am recommending you to everyone and you can count on us for the Salmon run next year. Thanks for helping me give the best birthday present Lee ever got (and those were his words!)

Hi Cam,

This was by far the best trip ever. Although, we said that the last time!!!! Dad really enjoyed himself, the weather was perfect and my grandson, Caleb couldn't stop talking about the trip. As soon as we got home, I put those beautiful Lake Trout on the grill and we ate like little piggies........so good! Thanks again Captain, and we will be back for Salmon.

Brad and I can't thank you enough for a memorable and wonderful experience. The Apache Trout Grill prepared the fish to a tee! Brad and I have been on many Walleye trips on Lake Erie, but none could compare to this trip.

We hope to see you next year. Have a great winter in the Keys. We'll be up here freezing our butts off!!

Thanks for the great fishing trip. We had a great time and the Apache Trout Grill did a super job preparing our meal. Mike Goldschmidt, from Cincinnati is my Critter Control supervisor and a great fisherman. This trip was really special to him. He really likes Sammy since we won the deep sea fishing tourney in FL this past Feb.
