What to Know Before Your Charter
We want your fishing trip to be easy, comfortable, and fun. Review the answers below, then contact us with any questions about your date, your group, or what to expect on the water.
How much is a Showtime Charters fishing trip?
A private Showtime Charters fishing trip is $700 for up to 4 people. Additional guests are $50 per person, with a maximum of 6 people per charter.
How many people can come on the charter?
Showtime Charters can take up to six people on a private fishing trip, making it a great option for families, friends, and small groups.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. Anyone over the age of 17 needs at least a 24-hour Michigan fishing license before fishing with Showtime.
What should we bring?
Bring what you want to eat, drink, and wear. Dress in layers, wear clean soft-soled shoes, and bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a cooler for your fillets.
Can we bring alcohol?
Beer is fine, but liquor is discouraged. The goal is to keep the trip safe, comfortable, and fun for everyone onboard.
Do we need to be on time?
Yes. Please plan to arrive on time, especially for morning trips during salmon season. Dawn and dusk can be some of the best times for salmon fishing.
Do I need to leave a deposit?
A deposit may be required to hold your charter date. Contact Showtime Charters to confirm current booking and deposit details for your preferred trip.
How do I pay for the trip?
Payment is handled with Showtime Charters. Contact us before your trip with any payment questions or to confirm preferred payment options.
What happens after we catch fish?
After returning to the marina, your catch is cleaned and bagged so you can take your fillets with you.
What fish do you target?
Lake trout are a strong choice from spring through the end of July. Salmon are the most popular trips and typically become the main focus later in summer through the end of the season.
Is the trip family friendly?
Yes. Showtime Charters is a great fit for families, kids, first-time anglers, and experienced fishermen.
